VBCtv - Web Entertainment Network was launched on July 23, 2005 under the supervision of VBC Media Entertainment (AB Studio Productions at that time). Originally launched as a Virtual Series Network. VBCtv started with the 2nd Season of founder Aaron Bielert's 'Independent Living'. Once again originally called VBC Network and standing for Virtual Broadcasting Network. VBC would later drop this acronym in 2007.

VBCtv wasn't successful at first. In 2006 there were talks of shutting down the project. Still with just one show at the time. In 2006 VBC Network became VBC Sports Network and tried all-sports programming.

In early 2007 VBCtv was launched, going back to original idea of the network. But soon after the birthright of Web Entertainment would become known. The idea of a network to combine Virtual Series, WebSeries, Original Programming, Audio Series & Prose Series all under one roof. Taking the work web Entertainment to it's meaning of all that is entertainment on the web. VBCtv would soon find shows that wanted to be apart of this new network. Soon VBCtv would find an audience and start growing.

2010-Present: VBCtv is an online Web Entertainment Network, distributing/networking/airing Weekly and Syndicated show(s)/episode(s) lineups in all 4 major Web Entertainment formats. Which include: Video/Filmed, Scripted, Audio and Prose WebSeries.

VBCtv is a subsidiary of VBC Media Entertainment. We distribute/network shows in over 25 countries in a multitude of Web Entertainment formats as listed above.

VBCnet & VBCtv are run as one equal unit but are two separate business units. VBCtv is the video distribution and marketing unit which curates and licenses high-quality episodic, series-based programming created by independent television producers in all 4 major Web Entertainment formats. VBCtv programming is distributed through (a) the VBCtv.com website through related media properties, (b) Third-Party sites including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter & other web communities, and (c) Shows official websites and their social networking parties. VBCtv represents the heart of all VBC Media Entertainment's properties & partnerships. VBCtv currently deals with partnerships from over 50 production companies & owns over 5 media properties of it's own.

VBC Media Entertainment oversees the backend of VBCtv with advertising, hosting and more... VBCnet also produces a few scripted series for VBCtv and oversees scouting of new series and additions of series requests.
